atty. leonuel mas is a real swindler.
I support journalist's url in http://swindlerlawyer.blogspot.com/ because of this blog I was able to look for Atty. Mas who used to be our lawyer in Olongapo. He kept asking us for additional money and told us our case would not prosper if we don't do so. Being uneducated in law procedures, we obeyed. He told us our opponent knows the judge so we have to bribe the judge so that our case would be heard more. And we did. But after getting so much money from us, he disappeared without a trace. Word spread that he migrated to the US and only through this angel journalist did we find out that he is back here in the Philippines doing his bad deed again. He is giving lawyers a bad name! I think "miguel0722" who kept asking for help to remove journalist's blog is Atty. Mas himself, posing as a different user. Public please be warned! DO not trust this lawyer! i will soon got to the Department of Justice to file my disbarment case against him. If you do not believe journalist, please search "atty. leonuel mas, atty. leonuel n. mas or prosecutor mas" in google and you will see for yourself that he is in almost all newspapers here in the Philippines. The government in Cavite City filed multiple cases against him.
And to all those that Atty. Leonuel Naniong Mas has swindled, please help give justice not only to yourself but to all those he has conned as well (especially to those who committed suicide because they mortgaged their only properties to give Atty Mas "filing fee" money because Atty Mas promised them that thier case will surely win and they will eventually get all their money back). Chief Provincial Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco dismissed Cavite assistant provincial prosecutor Leonuel Mas and filed with the Department of Justice a complaint for violation of Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards, and for Grave Misconduct and Dishonesty.
The complaint against Mas was filed by Annabelle Sarte and her uncle Lauro Sarte, the plaintiffs in a P1-million estafa that was pending investigation.
The two alleged that Mas demanded a “filing fee” of P150,000 from them even if they had already paid a docket fee of P6,000.
The prosecutor allegedly told them that their case could not move without the additional payment and also warned them that the person they had accused had connections with the prosecutor’s office.
The complainants said they eventually persuaded Mas to reduce the amount to P58,000, which they paid and after which they executed an affidavit accusing the prosecutor of graft.

andito lang si atty mas sa pinas nagtatago and that's according to DOJ hindi sya pwede lumabas at imposibleng makalabas sya ng bansa dahil nasa watchlist sya kahit mag palit pa sya ng ilang pangalan imposible yan. lumabas na rin ang warrant nya kaya magtago tago na sya. matakot ka atty mas dahil hindi porke nanahimik kami e wala kami ginagawa. hindi kami tanga na basta lang maniniwala na wala ka dito sa pinas.

Prosecutor faces disbarment for extortion
DISBARMENT petition was filed Tuesday before the Supreme Court against the assistant provincial prosecutor of the province of Laguna for alleged extortion activities.
Besides disbarment, Cavite Provincial Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco also asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) that Prosecutor Leonuel Mas be placed on the Bureau of Immigration watchlist to prevent him from leaving the country.
“This request is being made so as not to pre-empt the ends of justice and likewise taking into consideration the possibility of flight on the part of Assistant Prorsecutor Mas to another country in view of the numerous administrative and criminal complaints he is facing,” Velasco said in is letter to Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez.
The Office of the President appointed Mas assistant provincial prosecutor of Laguna last October 2008. Mas is temporarily detailed at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Cavite upon representation that he could perform his task more efficiently there since he is residing in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
In a three-page petition for disbarment, Velasco said that Mas should be disbarred for deceit, gross misconduct, violation of his lawyer’s oath and oath of office as a prosecutor.
“Perforce, hard as it is for a brother lawyer, it is most respectfully submitted that respondent Mas be disbarred,” he said.
Last March 26, Mas was sacked from his post for alleged extortion from complainants in an estafa case in order to facilitate the resolution of said case in their favor.
Mas was charged for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (R.A. 3019), violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethical standards for Public Officials and Employees, grave Misconduct and Dishonesty under the Administrative Code as well as for the commission of frauds in relation to estafa (Art. 214 in relation to Art. 318 of the Revised Penal Code).
If found liable, Mas will be facing more than six years imprisonment plus perpetual disqualification from holding public office.
In their affidavit-complaint, Anna-belle Sarte and her uncle, Lauro Sarte, alleged that on March 19, 2009 Mas demanded the amount of P150,000 as filing fee for their estafa complaint despite their having paid P6,000 as docket fee for the said case.
The Sartes were complainants in a P1 million estafa case pending before Mas.
According to the Sartes, Mas told them that the additional amount is needed because of the amount involved in the case.
The Sartes haggled for the filing fee to be lowered to P58,000 to which Mas agreed.
Mas, in demanding the money, impressed upon the complainants in the estafa case that the person they are complaining of “is very influential” and “has many prosecutor friends in Cavite.”
The complainants were forced to give the money the following the day.
After taking the money, Mas allegedly warned them to keep the transaction secret as their opponents in the case is very well connected in the office.
Velasco said that it is not the duty of prosecutors to assess and collect docket fees and what Mas did “was a clear case of extortion.”

Cyber Libel Is A Crime
You may have on plenty of occassions come across websites, blogs or spam which have been created just for the purpose of destroying the reputation of persons. It is just unfortunate that the web is now easily accesible to persons who are vindictive, obsess, stalkers, maniacs, scheming, envious, and downright cowards. Falling victims to this among the numerous others are lawyers...
Atty. Leonuel N. Mas has likewise fallen victim to libelous insinuations which have been concocted by persons who have been damaged by his very competent defense of countless people in court, mostly indigent and needy or libelous statements made by
a mentally deranged and obsessed person.

I agree!!!!some people are really cowards and lunatics..they hide behind the net! Kilala ko si Atty. Leonuel Mas at nahawakan nya kaso ng pamilya namin noon sa lupa at kung di dahil sa kanya wala na sana sa amin ang minana pa ng magulang ko. Kaya malaki utang na loob namin sa kanya at alam ko marami pang iba ang natulungan nya. Kaya sa isang taong mapanira, malamang sira ulo ito o kagagawan ng isang babaeng patay na patay kay atty.Gwapo naman kasi at bata pa.
